Kandra to spur on the San Diego Chargers!
After finishing their 2006 season with an all time best record of 14-2, the Chargers found themselves struggling with an entire new coaching staff at the helm. As the number one Charger fan, Kandra new it was her job to rally the team. We can still finish first in our division and go to the play-offs. We have a GREAT football team! stated Kandra. CARRY (Coalition for At-Risk Youth) 2nd Annual Gala Event a Huge Success!
The CARRY Charity event was held at the Beverly Hills Hotel on October 19th, 2007. The organization was thrilled to raise so much money for these beautiful foster children of Los Angeles. Kandra has been on the board since it's formation in 2006. There is no better feeling than being able to change the lives of innocent children who become victims simply by their circumstances.
During the evening we honored prominent individuals who foster the mission of CARRY with Orchid Awards. Our honorees included Trish Ploehn, Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services; the Grammy Award winners Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr.; and Bishop Kenneth Ulmer Ph.D., renowned leader, author, community activist and Pastor of Faithful Central Bible Church of Los Angeles. It was a festive evening of entertainment, dinner and dancing with MC of the evening: Rick Dees. A Special performance by Grammy Award-Winner Thelma Houston topped the night!

KANDRA LANDS ROLE IN COMEDY
Kandra has booked a role in the comedy film entitled: OFFICE PARTY.
The film is being directed by the award winning director Liz Friedlander (Take the Lead) with Antonio Banderas. The film is delightfully written by Justin Ware (American Summer). The fantastic ensemble cast includes such talents as the illustrious Nora Kirkpatrick (Crashing) and Kevin Cotteleer (Men in Black ll).
Kandra plays Charlotte, the least liked executive at Amalgatech until something happens one day at the Office Christmas Party. That is all you get to know for now. You will laugh out load at this great ensemble cast when the short is released this upcoming Christmas. Ho Ho Ho

Kandra to Produce, Write and Score New SERIES!
Kandra has been brought on board by Little Steps, Inc. to write a family-oriented three part DVD series entitled LITTLE STEPS...WALK WITH JESUS
In a recent journey to Israel, Following Footsteps, LLC creator and producer, Marlena Shell Inc. was given permission to capture never before seen footage of Israel. Two adorable twins girls are the tour guides for the venture, which engages children. Kandra is writing the script, which details the life and very footsteps of Jesus Christ from conception to resurrection. It's just like traveling back in time thousands of years. In a recent development, Kandra will also produce, direct and narrate the series. Additionally, she has written and recorded the music alongside The Strangers. The series will be released September 14, 2007 in the United States.
An International release is planned for late in the year.

KANDRA TO PRODUCE CHILDREN'S SERIES
Kandra has been earmarked too produce THE FAITH TRAIN. It will be the First Childrens Worship DVD for Hope Chapel. The DVD will feature Kandra leading children of all ages and nationalities in fun and extolling worship songs as they journey through lessons in life aboard THE FAITH TRAIN. Every song is an original created by members of the childrens worship ministry.
The DVD will feature chldren from Hope, guest stars and original puppet characters. The music will be performed by incredibly talented musicians including Lisa Haley and The Strangers. The DVD is currently in pre-production. The release date is targeted for December 2007.
Kandra has been titled the "Pied Piper" and has been entertaining and leading kids in worship for over 18 years. It is a gift from God and she absolutely is grateful to be able to spread the joy throughout the world through this DVD.

Every actress wants to play a “Nun” & a “Call-Girl”. Now that those roles are behind Kandra, she is tickled to be cast as the First Lady of the United States in the comedy short film entitled HELMET. The short is being directed by the critically acclaimed Steve Yager and written by the hilarious comedian Dirk Voetberg.

Kandra to present ORCHID award to Rick Dees
Dr. Pearl Grimes, founder of The Coalition for At-Risk Urban Youth, announced today that Grammy award-winning singer Jody Watley and singer-actress sensation Nita Whitaker are set to perform at the dinner gala “Shall We Dance” benefit Friday, May 19 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Watley and Whitaker will join three celebrated Orchid award honorees who have been involved in causes for youth. They are film director Penny Marshall, radio personality Rick Dees, and internationally renowned brain surgeon Dr. Keith Black. The fundraiser is expected to bring out Hollywood notables and the medical establishment. Confirmed attendees include actress Kandra King who will be presenting the Award to Rick Dees, actress Cindy Williams who will be introducing Penny Marshall and television news anchor Dave Clark who will be presenting the decoration to Dr. Keith Black. Actress Lorraine Toussaint will emcee.
